The Hunting

The hunting takes place on a mixture of over 500,000 acres, many of which are privately owned and some of which are exclusive. The hunting here is world-class. Most of the animals in Limpopo are available here, including the Big 5. Hunting is available 1 x 1 or 2 x 1 and whatever way you choose to hunt, you will have a PH, tracker, safari vehicle, and support staff available at all times.

Your hunt will be catered to your preferred methods of hunting and physical abilities. A typical method of plains game hunting will consist of using the vehicle to access suitable areas for spot and stalk. Once you have reached a good area, you will look for animals and once a suitable trophy has been spotted, you will approach it on foot and try to get a good shot. Some hunting from blinds may also be done depending on the time of year and trail camera activity. This is first-class hunting for excellent quality trophies in areas that are not over-hunted. Rifle hunting is available year-round.

This hunt is offered from February - November

Testimonials

"This was my first trip to Africa and can positively say it will not be my only one. Words simply can not describe the events of the hunt.  I hunted with both longbow and compound and took a total of 12 animals.  I speak volumes to Discount  African Hunts. These guys know the ins and outs.  Thank you for my first Amazing African Adventure!"

"I looked long and far for a good deal on a lioness hunt.  By far, Discount African Hunts had the best price.  I had the hunt of a lifetime and took a beautiful lioness at close range with my bow.  The Professional Hunter was first class, the lodge was first class and my whole experience was unbelievable.  I will book with John Martins when I return to Africa to hunt leopard  in Zimbabwe.

"In August 2014 I took a lioness hunt with Discount African Hunts in the Northwest Province of South Africa. The PH's worked hard to customize the hunt for me as I wanted a challenging stalk ending with taking the lioness at close range by an open sighted double rifle. They exceeded my expectations as 12 miles of tracking ended with me shooting the highly agitated lioness at a distance of 25 yards with a couple of rounds of 450 NE".

"I highly recommend a lioness hunt with Discount African Hunts."
