The Black Impala Safari Hunting Area
This black impala hunt will take place in Limpopo about a 90-minute drive northwest of Johannesburg, South Africa. The terrain on this hunting concession has rolling hills and consists of bushveld typical to the Limpopo area.
You will stay at a 3.5-star lodge during your hunt. This outfitter hunts multiple farms in the local area, each offering its own uniqueness as to animal species, terrain, and cover. The property that the hunt will take place on is a 2,500-acre former breeding ranch that has both black impala and golden wildebeest on it. Several normal plains game species such as eland, kudu, impala, blesbuck, buffalo, and others are also present.
The Black Impala Hunting Safari
This farmer previously ran a breeding operation on this concession. With the recent drop in prices for exotic color species, this farmer decided to abandon his breeding operation and release all of his breeding stock onto the main concession. Many of the rams/bulls will still have ear tags, but this is a fair chase hunt, as the animals have been roaming freely for several months.
This is your chance to get a breeding-quality trophy at a highly discounted price!
The hunting methods for both the black impala ram and the golden wildebeest bull will be by spot and stalk. Once your exotic species trophy is in the salt, you may continue hunting plains game on their mix of hunting concessions. All of the normal plains game species that are found in the southern Limpopo area are available and may be viewed below:
The black impala hunting lodge features individual rooms with en-suite bathrooms and a covered veranda in the rear. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are well-appointed. There is a gathering building housing a bar and a big-screen TV. Outside there is a fire pit for the evening gathering around the fire pit where the cook will brai the evening meal. There is a separate dining room with both inside and outside seating available. A comfortable lounge adjoins the dining area.
There is an excellent Zimbabwean chef that was the head chef at a very well-known South African outfitter for 10 years. Your outfitter was very fortunate in acquiring this chef and you can take my word for it that the food is outstanding! His deserts are not to be missed!
Getting There
You will fly to Johannesburg, South Africa, and arrive at O.R Tambo International Airport where you will be met by your PH and driven to the lodge. Your hunt will commence the following day. After the last day of your hunt, you will be driven to Johannesburg the following day to either continue home or to continue on your journey.
