This is a great value in a Bushpig hunt with a long-established outfitter near Durban in South Africa’s beautiful Kwazulu-Natal Province. This discounted Bushpig hunt with dogs will take place on multiple free-range farms and concessions. These large farms are home to lots of huge bushpigs. This hunt is conducted by hunting with trained dog packs that will track and bay the bushpigs.

You will be targeting and taking mature trophy bushpigs, but may have to also shoot smaller bushpigs if the dogs switch to a different track while chasing the original spoor. The bushpigs must be shot to aid in the removal of the dog packs. This is a Bushpig hunt with hounds that you will remember for the rest of your life!

The Bushpig hunt with dogs will take place on 88,000 privately owned acres in Natal near Nottingham Road, where the outfitter has exclusive access to multiple farms. This Bushpig hunt with hounds is true free-range hunting!  

You will stay at a 3-star lodge and dine on great meals.  Between hunting sessions, you may retire to your luxury suite to relax and prepare for one of the meals that South Africa is famous for. It just doesn’t get any better than this!

The bushpig is an extremely wary animal and is difficult to hunt. Your Bushpig hunt with hounds will start early in the morning when you will look for fresh bushpig signs. Once your PH is happy with the sign, the hound pack will be released on the trail and the fun and excitement begins. 

The hunt will be conducted in standing maize, sugar cane fields, and indigenous bush. This Bushpig hunt with dogs is extremely exciting, and generally, the shots are at very close range, so safety is the most important part of this safari.

Weather plays a part in the success of this hunt. This outfitter has had a great success rate for this hunt in the past. If the weather cooperates, you have an excellent chance of taking more than one trophy bushpig on this hunt. The bushpigs grow to be giants in Kwazulu-Natal and are among the largest found in Africa! Hunters can expect shots of 20 yards or less!

The physical requirements of this Bushpig hunt with hounds call for you to be in decent shape and be able to rapidly hike some reasonable distances on foot in the fields.
