About the Plains Game Trophy Animals:

This plains game package includes a selection of 6 different African species, including the Blue Wildebeest, a large antelope known for its strong build and annual migrations. Zebras are easily recognized by their iconic black-and-white stripes and can be a challenging pursuit. The Impala is famous for its speed and offers a rewarding hunt. Warthogs are tough, pig-like animals with tusks that not only add character but also serve as a form of defence. Smaller and more elusive, the Duiker lives in dense vegetation, feeding on leaves and fruits. Lastly, the Baboon is an intelligent primate and wary species that lives in social groups, making for an interesting hunt to stay one step ahead.

The Hunting Area and Terrain:

This 19,500-acre hunting concession is located in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, near Louis Trichardt and just south of the Zimbabwe border. The reserve lies within the diverse and scenic Limpopo bushveld, offering an ideal landscape for plains game and predator hunting.

The area is defined by the winding Sand River, rolling hills, rocky mountain ridges, and dense mopane vegetation—together creating a prime habitat for a wide range of plains game and predator species. Along the riverbanks, thick riverine brush and mature trees provide excellent cover, forming natural movement corridors for predators and nocturnal wildlife that rely on the river system.

Beyond the river, the terrain transitions into more open, rugged hills and mountainous ridges, delivering sweeping views across the bushveld. These rocky elevations serve as natural refuges for various species, while the surrounding mopane flats sustain healthy populations of plains game.

This is a true African hunting property—wild, diverse, and perfectly suited for an authentic and rewarding safari experience.

Hunting Seasons:

This hunt is available year-round and can be booked for any time other than from mid-December to February. The months of May through September will give you the best hunting experience, as it is drier during these months and the bush tends to thin out a bit, giving you the best chance to spot the biggest trophies more easily.

A Typical Day Hunting:

A typical hunting day starts before sunrise, as the African bush is just starting to wake. After a hearty breakfast and fresh coffee at the lodge, you head out with your professional hunter into the bush while the morning is still cool and game is most active. The morning is spent glassing, tracking, and stalking game on foot, offering you a true African experience in the wild. Around midday, we return to camp for a relaxed lunch and time to rest during the heat of the day. In the afternoon, the hunt continues as we head back out for another exciting hunt, often focusing on waterholes or fresh tracks as animals move again. As the sun sets over the bushveld, we return to camp for a warm shower, cold drinks, and a delicious dinner and stories shared around the fire from the day's hunt.

Other Available Animals:

The hunting area is carefully managed to ensure healthy populations and mature animals, allowing hunters to pursue top-quality trophies in their natural habitat. Species commonly hunted in our area include Cape Buffalo, Giraffe, Greater Kudu, Impala, Blue Wildebeest, Nyala, Zebra, Warthog, Bushbuck, and Baboon, as well as various nocturnal predators such as bushpig, civet, honey badger, and genet.
