Find A Good Deal on a Namibia Wing Shooting Safari!

This is a heck of a deal on a wing shooting safari at an unfenced concession that is close to Etosha National Park in Namibia. The outfitter has graciously lowered his $380 / day wing shooting daily rates to $285 / day.  With over 35,000 acres of land to roam and a good population of birds, this is an affordable discounted wing shooting hunt in Namibia! Plus, the outfitter will take you on a day tour of Etosha National Park for only $80 / day per person.

Tell Me About the Wing Shooting Area

The hunting concession, which is just south of Namibia’s Etosha National Park, is about a 5-hour drive northwest from Windhoek. The nearest town is Outjo. The wing shooting concession consists of a mixture of thorn bush, savanna and some mountains. There is also a good population of plains game in this area and plains game is also available on this hunt.

What Wing Shooting Hunting Methods Will be Used?

The hunting day will start with coffee, tea or other beverages of your choice and some light food items. You will then proceed to one of the waterholes, arriving before 8:00 am and settle into some good concealing cover with enough ammo to experience the hundreds of sand grouse flying from all directions.  Sand grouse fly at high speeds and make for challenging targets.  At about 10 am the sand grouse stop flying until late in the evening.  It is almost as if a switch is turned off, as it happens so suddenly. Then you will go back to the lodge for a delicious brunch.

The balance of the middle of the day will be hunting the riverbeds and open savanna from the truck while sometimes venturing into the thick bush on foot. On occasion a stalk will be done on birds that you have spotted.

Late in the day you will return to a water hole to enjoy the evening sand grouse flight before heading back to the lodge to enjoy some drinks around the fire pit and savor a top-quality meal.  It just doesn’t get much better than this!

What will the Wing Shooting Lodge be Like?

The outfitter built this 4-star lodge with his own hands over a period of years.  The hunter accommodations consist of individual chalets situated for privacy so that you can enjoy the sunrise or sunset from your patio.  Be sure to bring your binoculars and something to drink!  The chalets feature either a double bed or 2 larger single beds. All chalets have in-suite bathrooms and air-conditioning.  There are hair dryers in the rooms and daily laundry service is provided throughout your stay. The paths from the main lodge to the individual chalets are illuminated at night for safety. The camp has permanent power and there is both cell phone and internet service available in camp.

Testimonials

"In August 2014 I took a lioness hunt with Discount African Hunts in the Northwest Province of South Africa. The PH's worked hard to customize the hunt for me as I wanted a challenging stalk ending with taking the lioness at close range by an open sighted double rifle. They exceeded my expectations as 12 miles of tracking ended with me shooting the highly agitated lioness at a distance of 25 yards with a couple of rounds of 450 NE".

"I highly recommend a lioness hunt with Discount African Hunts."

"I booked the hunt through John Martins, the owner of Discount African Hunts. It was a smooth transaction and he provided me with good and accurate information."

"This 10 day package safari was a fantastic experience. I learned many new hunting skills and made new friends.  I would go back and do it again in a heartbeat.  I'm going back. That says it all. Thanks to Discount African Hunts for setting me up on a fantastic plains game safari."

"I spent weeks visiting websites for outfitters in Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, comparing pre-made packages and regular fees. In the end, for a 7-day, six animal hunt with my son as an observer/hunter, John Martins had the best price."
