This is a chance to take a trophy red lechwe and tsessebe in South Africa’s Eastern Cape Region. Your hunt will occur on a 55,000-acre privately-owned hunting concession that features a 4-star lodge and over 60 species of huntable animals. This is the best deal I know of in South Africa for these exotic antelopes.

The Red Lechwe and Tsessebee Hunting Area

This hunt will take place in the Eastern Cape of South Africa approximately 2 hours north of East London outside of Queenstown.  The hunting area is 55,000 acres and has varied terrain, including mountains, thick bushveld and rolling rocky hills and plains. There are over 60 huntable species on this ranch and the game numbers in the thousands.

The Red Lechwe and Tsessebe Hunts

Both animals will be hunted by driving and stopping to glass until a suitable trophy is spotted. Then a plan will be madeand you will make a stalk on the animal to get into shooting range.  Once a decision is made as to trophy quality, the sticks will be set up and you will make your best shot.

Other plains game and Cape buffalo are available also.  The outfitter will switch animals in the package for equal or more expensive animals on a 1x1 basis.

Field care and trophy prep is included and once fleshed, your trophy will be put into the salt until your safari is over and a courier transports them to the Dip and pack / taxidermist.

The 4-Star Safari Lodge

You will stay at a 4-star lodge that features comfortable beds and bedding.  Each room has an in-suite shower and bathroom.  The camp features permanent electrical power.  Cell Phone service is available at camp but there is better coverage during the hunt, as the lodge is set down in a valley. Wireless internet service is also available in camp.  The lodge features a bar with beer, wine and alcohol.

The camp has an excellent chef and kitchen staff and you will eat game that has been taken at the ranch during your stay.

Other Activities

The outfitter has a predator breeding program and you will be able to observe the animals being fed twice per week.  With lions, white lions, tigers, white tigers, wild African dogs, spotted and brown hyenas and others in captivity, you will be able to get up close and personal to these magnificent animals.

Private tours to Addo Elephant Park, Schotia Private Reserve and day trips to the beach at East London can be arranged for your observers during your safari or for your entire group after your safari.

Getting There

You will fly to East London on South African Air where you will be met by the outfitter’s representative and driven the 2 hours to the lodge.

DEPOSIT POLICY:  A 30% deposit is required to book this hunt.  The balance of the package and any trophy fees for additional animals shot or wounded are due in US cash or credit card at the end of the hunt prior to departing camp.

REFUND POLICY:  Deposits are non-refundable.  Safaris may be rescheduled once subject to the outfitter's open dates as long as the outfitter is notified at least 60 days prior to the start of the safari.  Any rescheduled or canceled safaris are subject to a $150 administration fee to be paid directly to the agent. .Safaris that are rescheduled for a subsequent year are subject to that subsequent year’s pricing.  In the case of a terminal illness or death, a full refund will be made.
