The Trophy Roan Hunting Area

This discounted hunt for trophy roan in South Africa will take place in the Northwest Province of South Africa near Rustenberg. The terrain that the roan hunt will take place on is bushveld with both flat areas and rolling hills.

This hunt will be conducted by driving and looking/glassing for roan until a suitable trophy is spotted. Then a stalk will be conducted on foot until a favorable shooting position is found. Sable and Cape buffalo are also present on this concession and may be taken at special discounted pricing during this hunt for roan.

Sable Trophy Fee - $3,000

Cape Buffalo Trophy Fee - $7,000

There are many other species of plains game present including some big waterbuck, kudu, impala, giraffe, and several others. These animals are available during this hunt for the respective trophy fees.

The Trophy Roan Hunting Lodge

You will stay at a comfortable 4-star hunting lodge that features all of the amenities that you would expect on an upscale hunting safari. The rooms feature comfortable beds and have en-suite bathrooms and showers. There is a pool for summertime hunts. A well-stocked bar is complimentary and there is an outside boma and fireplace for those nighttime gatherings that make an African hunting safari so special. There is an excellent chef on staff and the food is good.  Be sure to try his desserts, as they are fabulous!

Cell phone service is available in the lodge area, but a decent signal is also available in certain areas during the day while you are out hunting. The lodge has a landline available for emergencies. Internet service is available in the lodge area for those wanting to check emails.

This area has lots of big kudus and is known for some exceptional waterbuck. There are also lots of big sable available and several herds of Cape buffalo roam some of the nearby areas that you may hunt on.

Getting There

The hunting blocation is only 2 hours west of Johannesburg, so no overnight stay is necessary. You will be met at the airport by a representative of the outfitter and driven approximately two hours to the lodge.

DEPOSIT POLICY:  A $1,500 deposit is required to book this hunt. The balance of the package and any trophy fees for additional animals shot or wounded are due in US cash or credit card at the end of the hunt prior to departing camp.

REFUND POLICY: Deposits are non-refundable. Safaris may be rescheduled one time prior to 90 days before the start of the safari at the outfitter's discretion and are subject to available dates. Safaris canceled or rescheduled within 90 days of the start of the safari will forfeit their deposits. Safaris that are rescheduled for the following year are subject to that year's pricing. Any rescheduling of a safari will incur a $150 Administrative fee that is due at the time of rescheduling.  In the case of a terminal illness or death, a full refund will be made.
