This is a great value in a discounted serval hunt with a long-established outfitter near Durban in South Africa’s beautiful Kwazulu-Natal province. This serval hunt in South Africa will take place on multiple free-range privately owned concessions ranging in size up to 11,000 acres. These large farms are home to many servals and you will see other free-range animals while hunting servals.

You will be targeting and taking a mature trophy serval. Servals are considered an agricultural pest in this farming area and permits are issued to allow the farmers to keep their populations in check. Caracal, black-backed jackals, African porcupines, aardwolf, and trophy cape bushbuck may also be encountered while spotlighting for trophy servals.

The area that the serval hunt will take place on is free-range farmland and this hunt will be conducted using a spotlight. The outfitter has determined that this is the best and most successful way of hunting these prized cats. 

Hunting with a dog pack is also available at an additional charge of $250/day for the dog pack and handler. Using a dog pack is highly effective in treeing these elusive cats.  Hunting with dogs is usually conducted in the mornings. After lunch, you can nap and then go out after dark spotlighting. 

The evenings can get quite cold, so it is advisable to bring warm clothing and gloves.  Other tiny ten animals and plains game animals are also available should you take your serval early in the hunt. You may also see other animals while spotlighting for your trophy serval and these trophies are available per the price list:

You will stay at a 3-star lodge and dine on great meals. All rooms feature en-suite bathrooms and have queen-size beds with down comforters and luxurious pillows. Both cell phone service and Internet service is available at the lodge during your hunt.  Between hunting sessions, you may retire to your luxury suite to relax and prepare for one of the meals that South Africa is famous for. South African red and white wines and cold beers will be served during meals.

Deposit Policy:  A deposit of $1,000 is due at the time of booking. The balance of the package plus trophy fees for any other animals shot or wounded is due at the end of the hunt in US cash or may be wired in advance.  In the unlikely event that you do not harvest a serval, you will only be charged the daily rate of $350 / day.

Refund Policy:  Deposits will be refunded only if the client cancels the safari within 30 days of confirmation of booking, subject to a 15% administration fee, and provided the cancellation is done at least 90 days before the date of commencement of the safari.  Safaris may be rescheduled at the discretion of the outfitter.
