The hunting area is North of Vryberg near the Botswana Border. The hunt will take place within a fenced 10,000-acre concession.  The area is malaria-free. The terrain is comprised of sub-Kalahari bush that is open enough to provide good lion hunting.

AFRICAN LION HUNTING STATUS

African lion hunting is under pressure from the anti-hunting establishment and has recently been uplisted under the Endangered Species Act by the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Lions are currently not importable into the US, Australia, France, and the Netherlands.

GET YOUR AFRICAN LION NOW!

African lions are becoming more difficult to import, as politicians who are unaware of the conservation benefits of hunting are bowing to anti-hunting groups' pressures and are passing laws that restrict the importation of lion trophies.

Those who are in the know are aware that the lion is not endangered by hunting but by Africa’s expanding population and the corresponding loss of habitat and available prey. It is the hunter’s money that is funding the conservation programs that will save the lion from extinction.

All that being said, the time to hunt your lion is NOW, while you still can!  You should not put this hunt off!  This type of exciting lion hunting is in the process of being closed!

LION HUNTING METHOD

Your lion hunt will occur on foot by tracking the lion in the Kalahari Desert sands. This is the most exciting way to hunt a lion!

Once the lion hunt is complete, you can hunt additional animals from his price list, or just relax and enjoy the magnificent surroundings while viewing the plentiful resident game population. This concession offers a good selection of plains game and combination hunts are available should you wish to hunt other dangerous game. Other animals are available per the Price List:

THE 4-STAR LION HUNTING LODGE

While you are hunting your trophy lion, you will stay in a 4-star lodge that features comfortable beds and great food and service. The food and wine are superb and the service is typical of the high level of catering that Africa offers.

This is a lion hunt you will always remember as you face one of Africa’s most dangerous animals.  And you will be in good hands, as your PH has personally been involved in the taking of over 400 lions without losing a client yet!

The outfitter uses Splitting Image Taxidermy, which in our opinion is the best in South Africa!

Upgrades to a more fully maned lion are available!

Testimonials

"I booked the hunt through John Martins, the owner of Discount African Hunts. It was a smooth transaction and he provided me with good and accurate information."

"This 10 day package safari was a fantastic experience. I learned many new hunting skills and made new friends.  I would go back and do it again in a heartbeat.  I'm going back. That says it all. Thanks to Discount African Hunts for setting me up on a fantastic plains game safari."

"I booked a plains game hunt in South Africa through Discount African Hunts.  The price was half of what other outfitters were selling the same package of animals for.  After being assured by John Martins that this offer was for real I went ahead and booked.  Everything turned out just like I was told and I took 7 beautiful trophies on the trip of my lifetime.  Don't let the low prices hold you back.  I am sure I will never take a hunt of this quality again at a price like I paid. My hunt was awesome!"

"First, I wanted to tell you the buffalo hunt with the outfitter you booked me with was great! The PH took me to a farm where there was a good herd of buffalo and I shot a 40” old dagga boy. I could have taken another one a bit wider, 42”, with hard bosses but he did not have that old rough beat-up look I was after."
