This is an incredible hunt at a great price!  This renowned South African outfitter has reduced the price of this hunt and it is available at this price only through DiscountAfricanHunts.com. A minimum of two hunters is required for this hunt due to the costs associated with conducting it in a remote area.  This hunt takes place in the Kalahari Desert region of the Northern Province of South Africa.  A small finger of South Africa extends north between Botswana and Namibia.  Sandwiched between Botswana’s  Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park on the east and Namibia on the west, this concession offers free range hunting for desert species that are native to the Kalahari Desert.  Although the concession is fenced, it is a low fence on two of three sides, and most species are easily able to leap the fence and cross back and forth from the adjoinimg areas into the concession.

Botswana has recently erected a high electrified fence along it's Western border with this concession in an attempt to keep eland from running through the fence.  In dry years, eland are drawn to this concession for it's available water ( it has 10 solar powered wells) by the thousands, and the Lions in Botswana's National Park follow this migration and pick the Eland off as they cross through the fence.  It is also an attempt to try to keep the wild lions on the Botswana side of the fence.  When the lions manage to get through or under the fence, Botswana sends trackers in to locate and dart the lions for transport back to the other side of the fence.

Both the border with Namibia and the concession's southern boundary are low fenced.  There are some giant trophies here!  I personally saw the largest wildebeest I have ever seen on this concession (he is still there!) and also saw an eland that I would estimate to be between 42" and 44".  The world record steenbok came from the Kalihari in ths region.  You will see some big steenbok when hunting on this concession.

This is a dream place to hunt Kalahari Springbok, Gemsbok and Eland.  The outfitter just picked this concession up three years ago, and it is a good one.  The area was not trophy hunted for the 6 previous years and it has a lot of trophies waiting for you!  The hunt will take place within 80,000 acres of  rolling dunes that will simply amaze you.   This is an unforgettable hunt!  Gemsbok in this area run big, with males to over 40” and females that grow even longer!  It seems like there is a steenbok on every dune!  The Eland hunting here is superb with great trophy quality.  The outfitter has taken eland in the last year that surpass the 40” mark.

Kalahari Gemsbok Trophy

Why take your trophy gemsbok in a high fence area that it is not native to when you can hunt Gemsbok in its natural habitat.  A trophy gemsbok standing on a dune with the sun shining on it is a sight to behold and one that you will never forget!

This hunt takes place from the owner's personal hunting camp. The camp has running water, hot showers and a great firepit to sit around at night. You will be sitting under the desert stars enjoying your hot meal while planning the next day’s hunt.  The camp also features solar powered refrigerators and hot water heaters.

This is a great add-on to a Northtwest Province Lion or Lioness hunt!

Your trophies will be transported to an excellent taxidermist before you head home.  I have personally used this taxidermist and they are one of the best in Southern Africa.  They will also handle your dip and pack and shipping should you wish to ship your trophy to your taxidermist back home.

Testimonials

"I booked a plains game hunt in South Africa through Discount African Hunts.  The price was half of what other outfitters were selling the same package of animals for.  After being assured by John Martins that this offer was for real I went ahead and booked.  Everything turned out just like I was told and I took 7 beautiful trophies on the trip of my lifetime.  Don't let the low prices hold you back.  I am sure I will never take a hunt of this quality again at a price like I paid. My hunt was awesome!"

"The hippo and croc hunt was good to great --  People make the hunt and from the booking agent to the outfitter YOU COULDN'T ask for a better hunt!  Very few hunting ads tell you what you will get and then deliver it with a smile and extras. Both ends are honest and great to deal with."

"John Martins tries his hardest to get you a great price and your animals with honest outfitters!"
