I had an incredible Cape Buffalo hunt in Mozambique that was booked through Discount African Hunts. The owner of the company and the PH are first class professionals that did everything within their power to make it near perfect. The Buffalo hunting in the Delta is the real deal. No easy stroll on dry ground here. It was mentally and physically demanding with the distance covered but more so through the brush and swamp areas. Exactly what I was looking for in the true wild Africa. We saw 250 to 350 Buffalo in the two days it took to kill my Old Dagga Boy. I could not have drawn it up any better. I usedthe PH’s 416 Rigby with Sworvorski scope and Barnes hand loaded 400 grain TTX bullets. Once the buff was in the salt we moved to a different camp for plains game and had great success for two days and then moved again for the Sable, Waterbuck and others. All great areas with true old Safari camps with excellent food and service. Everything and more than I expected and a trip I will never forget. True wild Africa is a different beast and this hunt was it. Simply brilliant!

Be prepared physically and mentally. If you are looking for easy Buffalo hunting the Delta is not for you. If your looking for a world class wild hunt book it through John Martins and ask for Mozambique.
