Story
I booked this discounted hunt in the Kalahari Desert with John Martins and Discount African Hunts. We were picked up at the Uppington Airport by our PH and driven to base camp, about a 3 hour drive. Base camp is a basic lodge but has all the necessities in a stunning location with the backdrop of the Kalahari Desert. I shot 6 animals, including a 40 inch gemsbok bull, 40 inch eland and a very big wildebeest. I also shot a trophy steinbuck, red hartebeest and a springbuck. My PH, Jacques was a very professional guide and I used his rifles, which were first class.
Additional Info
We had a fantastic time and shot some great trophy animals! This is a unique hunting location, as it is sandwiched between Botswanna and Namibia and borders the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park. This is a safari hunting location and experience that should not be missed!
Recommendation
I would highly recommend both Discount African Hunts and this outfitter to anyone. I plan to to go back in 2016.
