Story
Hunting the Kalahari desert is amazing as the animals are huge and in large numbers. The hunt is not an easy hunt as the animals are very skittish, they can see you for over a mile and run. My PH was an awesome guy, he would not settle for anything less than a record animal, that made the hunt more difficult. We hunted for 3.5 days to shoot the Kudu as we passed on lots of small bulls. I shot 5 animals with the rifle I rented from PH and 3 with my bow. African game meat does not have any game smell to it, which was a surprise to me.
Additional Info
I would not go to Kalahari after September 30th as it gets very hot in the afternoons. Mornings were good.
Recommendation
I am happy that I found John as he is a wealth of knowledge and his prices are very good. I would certainly recommend Discount African Hunts.
