Story

I just returned from Namibia on my first African safari. I chose the $3800 package which included kudu, mountain zebra, and gemsbok. I also added an eland and springbok to the package. For the hunt, I used my Bergara 300 PRC with factory Hornady ELDX 212 gr. I was able to take every animal on my list and could have taken more.

Additional Info

This is an awesome hunt. Please practice shooting off sticks out to 300 yards. There were times where I could have taken animals quicker if I had felt comfortable making a 300-yard shot off sticks. I am comfortable out to 200 yards. If you plan to hunt in June, please know that it is winter there and it's cold in the morning (around 40 degrees Fahrenheit) and it gets near 80 degrees in the afternoon. Also, don't wear heavy hunting boots. I would recommend lightweight hiking boots because walking across mountains with heavy boots was tough.

I would definitely recommend this hunt to anyone who wants a great safari with outstanding professional hunters and trackers. John Martins is a great guy and he helped me make a dream come true.
