Frequently Asked Questions

Tipping

  • Should I give the tips directly to the staff?

In general, it is best to give your tips directly to the people that played a part in the success of your safari.  Some outfitters request that the tips be given to the office to be distributed, but it is best to tip the staff directly if possible. That eliminates any distrust that the office is not fully distributing the funds that were left for the staff.

  • Who should I tip on an African Hunting Safari?

Typically, you will tip your PH, tracker, skinner (if different from the tracker), cook and the remainder of the staff that had a part in your hunt.
