  • What will the weather be like on my hunting safari?

    Southern African weather is characterized by three main seasons, especially in Zambia and Botswana: cool and dry, hot and dry, and hot and wet.  May, June, July and early August are the winter months; bright sunny days with mild temperatures.  Nights and early mornings can be very cold, especially on game drives.  Temperatures can range from 40degrees F to 80 degrees F. 

    August, September and October continue the dry season.  The hottest month is October where they can be as high as 110 degrees F. 

    November to March are the summer months – the green rainy season.  Average temperatures range from 65 degrees to 100 degrees. 

    April and early May temperatures moderate as winter approaches.  Low can be 55 degrees and high in the mid-80s.
